How tent rental delivery works across four Capital Region counties

You send your date, address and headcount. We match you with a rental company that delivers to your town and has the right tent open. Tents are delivered and installed, usually a day or so before the party, and taken down after. Tables and chairs come on the same truck.

Delivery distance is one of the things that moves the price, so an exact address gets a better quote than "near Albany." Send the guest count, whether people will sit or stand, the surface (grass, driveway or patio), and anything that complicates delivery, like a long walk from the street or a steep yard. A photo of the setup spot helps more than a paragraph of description. Each city and town also sets its own rules for larger tents, which may need a permit or inspection: check with your local building or fire department.

City vs suburb tent setups in the Capital Region

City lots in Albany, Troy and Schenectady are tight: narrow backyards, shared driveways, gates the gear has to fit through. Rowhouse blocks in Albany's Center Square and downtown Troy often have no lawn at all, so the tent goes on pavement. Frame tents rule here because they can stand on a driveway or patio, held down with weights instead of stakes. Measure the gate and figure out where the truck can park before you book.

The suburbs are the opposite problem. In Clifton Park, Delmar, Loudonville and Niskayuna there's usually lawn to spare, so a 20x40 frame or pole tent fits easily, but mature trees, sprinkler heads and buried lines decide where it goes. Pole tents need several feet of extra room around the edge for stakes. Mark anything underground before setup day.

Booking party tents ahead for June weekends

Graduation parties across every school district in the Capital Region land on the same few weekends in late June, and that's when 20x30 and 20x40 tents are hardest to find. Book in the spring once you have the date. Around Saratoga Springs, the Race Course season (roughly mid-July to Labor Day) keeps summer weekends busy well past June.

Fall has its own rush: September and October weddings, and tables and chairs for Thanksgiving in November. Whatever the season, send your date and address through the free quote form and we'll tell you what's open.

Capital Region tent rental FAQs

Which towns in the Capital Region do you deliver tents to?

Albany, Schenectady, Troy and Saratoga Springs, plus the suburbs around them in Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer and Saratoga counties. If your town isn't listed, send your address anyway.

Does tent delivery cost more if I live farther out?

Delivery distance is one of the things that moves the price, along with tent size, sidewalls, lighting, tables and chairs, and grass vs pavement setup. An exact address gets you an exact quote.

How far ahead should I book a tent in the Capital Region?

For a late-June graduation party or a Saratoga party in August, book in the spring. For a wedding, book the tent soon after you book the date.
